Style Nibble

Here's a Stumble Upon discovery, Style Nibble.
Ever wondered what your exact style is? Style Nibble can help.
Just take their quick style test and voila, you get an instant email telling you your style, the brands recommended for you and your celebrity matches. They got my style more or less spot on, I would love to look lady like all the time, but it doesn't always turn out that way! Heres what they wrote...

Not sure about the brands, I'm not saying I don't like them, just can't afford them!

You can also click to see what the stylists have picked for you.

She Wore (blue) Velvet

I remember going into school to the Christmas party wearing my special black, velvet sequinned dress.
It's a classic wintery fabric. (yes, winter!)
And this season is no exception.
Velvet is in abundance on the high street with the addition of the oxblood colour trend, their a perfect match, resulting in some beautiful fuzzy pieces!
Below are a few of my favourites.

Velvet

The inspiration behind the title was the lovely Lana's song Blue Velvet. Featured in the new season H&M advert which she is currently endorsing.
I am mad for this song, its so mesmerising, could listen to it all day.

Trip to Trafford Bargains

Today we went to the Trafford centre for the first time since being back at Uni. I didn't go with the intention of buying anything, I purely love the experience, but when in Rome.
We had a quick blast around the new Forever 21 store, and although unimpressed with the clothes, I found this layered aztec print triangle necklace for just £4.90.
I love it, a great ensemble to any upcoming outfit.

I also took advantage of my 20% voucher in River island, courtesy of Company Magazine, when I bought this dark red scarf print Bodycon dress, £20 (£25 originally).
I love it, the print and cut out design makes it really flattering and I love the colours. Can't wait to wear it out! It's going to be a popular item this season.

Stumbled on StumbleUpon?

Yet again, I'm behind the times.
But with new housemates comes their influence of new music, a different routine and new websites.
One I'm now loving is Stumble Upon.
Now, you may have heard of it, you may not, either way its just great.
I know people who can sit on the internet for hours, googling everything under the sun. I can't do that. I have mental blanks and just end up on Facebook.
That's where Stumble Upon comes in. The site where everything your interested in, is found for you!
So start off by ticking a list of your interests. Then Stumble away!
If you like something you find just 'like' it and more sites like that will appear.
The only downside? Theres no personal profile, where if you like something, you can re visit it easily. This means you have to save everything you like yourself!
Never the less, I have found some amazing sites on here, including making your own mix tape, the best places to visit around the world and a site entirely made up of pictures of puppies.
It's also a different way to find fashion blogs.

Another procrastination tool for me to avoid work, I wish I'd never found it, but so glad I did!

Lusting after: Leggings

Floral, disco, galaxy, printed, you name it, leggings are everywhere this season and a veritable must-have this Autumn.
I am currently lusting after these styles (below) the most.
My favourite pair being the floral purple printed leggings from H&M for £9.99, worn by Lana Del Rey in their A/W '12 campaign. Currently sold out, not only on the net, but in store too, cry.
Leggings are just the easiest thing to sling on, I wear my wet-look Topshop ones practically everyday. They go with basically everything and your going to be on trend, which makes the daily confidence boost rocket!
I love to team them with an oversized jumper or a collared top and leather jacket, this even works in the evening for a casual night out.

Stud Obsessed??

First, it was the studded toe shoes from Zara, then the khaki studded collar top from Ark, now?
The Melissa Studded Neck Peplum Dress from Boohoo, my first of two Birthday dresses.
The peplum style is quite smart, and this dress is white so I doubt I'll wear it on a night out, drink stains are not a good look!
It will be perfect for my birthday meal, I love how the studs just add something a bit extra to the style and it fits really well!
I got 20% off from the site through UniDays, which made this dress only £20!
Birthday bargain and I am definitely stud obsessed!

Trend: Dungaree dresses

Has anyone else noticed this trend popping up everywhere?
Topshop, River Island and most boutiques have stocked them recently because of popular demand.
On one hand, I am liking this trend, its fun, and it reminds me of childhood. I'm sure the other 90's babies will understand!
On the other hand, I'm not too keen, they seem quite hard to pull off, quite a risky move.
But fashion waits for no man, or woman for that matter!
The last time dungaree dresses were out and about was 2006.
What are you thinking about them?
