Slogan Sweats

You can't sit with us.

I love a good slogan sweater. I have my own 'that shit cray' in burgundy, however I'm looking to invest in another as it is too explicit to wear out doors. I already frighten small children, I don't want to scare the parents as well. I love this outfit (above), simple yet stylish. Although I dislike 'sneaks' being worn for anything other than exercise, this ensemble screamed Nike. Monochrome and Mean Girls, it works!

IOTW #5

I am going to do a separate post about my trip to Indonesia, but I've still got loads of Instagram photos over the last few weeks to update you all on! The first is of a new outfit I bought after my very long trip back to blighty, I love the giraffe print top and I was dying for some new jeans (both Topshop). The tan loafers were an absolute find in Primark at just £12!
The next is a roast I was served in the hotel I was staying at. My first proper english meal in 3 weeks, it couldn't have tasted better!
My nails for my holiday. These falsies had lasted since my graduation which was about 3 weeks prior! I used my new matte top coat to finish off the design.
The next few are from my trip to Cayman in July, the mug was at my aunties house (where we stayed before our flight). She has loads of them with sayings on but I somehow always end up with this one! love it!
As I was eating my cereal that morning, one of her cats stared at me the entire time. I gave in and gave her a cheerio, or two.
Just one of the amazing sunsets we experience out in Cayman, they definitely rival that of my hometown in Jersey!
Me and my sister went out a few times while we were there, and considering most of the tourists and residents there are American, we got native and played some beer pong! Turns out we were doing it wrong.
The next photo has to be the most spectacular photo of a sunset I've taken so far, with a bit of editing I must admit, but still pretty amazing! Every time I show someone, their reaction is "wowww".
Blackbeard's vodka, the stuff of pirates and rather lethal at that.
This lizard was a friend of ours, he hung out by the pool every day and we called him Yoshi. He even jumped in and came swimming with us once.
I love this key ring I bought out there. The whole ethos of the island just seems to be this saying. Its so chilled out and everyone is always happy, I bought this to remind myself to be the same!
And finally, my little sister went to Turkey shortly after Cayman, I've been before and therefore know all about the fake goods they import there. I asked for a Mulberry purse and this is what she got me, its so beautiful I almost can't believe its not real!

Library Wear

Library Wear

Its that time of year again... teenagers and young adults of all walks of life come out of their pits and hit the books to revise for the dreaded exams. This is something I will be going through for the very last time, yikes. My finals for my degree are fast approaching which means 8 hours a day of revision cards, coke, and cramming.
So I thought I'd do a few outfits of inspo on what to wear for the library. If you're stuck, click on google, type in 'baggy' and bob's your uncle, well he might not be, but thats basically the only word to describe the best thing to wear, for me anyway.
When your sitting there trying to remember at least ONE of the thing for your exam, you don't want it made worse with chaffing, tightness or a constant wedgie, do you?
I'm not saying go to the libs in your PJ's like a hobo, but just caj it up a bit.
Now I'm not here to tell anybody what to wear, and personally I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of joggers outside the house, but if your into this whole Cara Delevingne does slumpy grundge 'I'm so pretty I can dress like a half asleep man in sweatpants' then go for it, I wish I had the nerve, because they are gorgeously comfy and I'm sure I could remember half my logistics wearing them.
If you want to up-the-caj then maybe jeans are slightly more fitting, with a loose jumper, pumps and a big bag full of books. Little tip, if you want to take a nice bag but don't to weigh it down with all your crap, take a swanky canvas bag on your shoulder, you know the free ones you get at Toppy or Primark sometimes, prevents a bad back too!
Today, I wore black jeans, a powder blue jumper and some black shoes, pretty plain but not completely casual.
So, remember to drink lots of coffee, take lots of spare pens, eye up all the fitties, eat plenty of unhealthy snacks, stress yourself out and stay POZ, all the hard work will pay off!!

Good luck to all you ducklings taking GCSE's (lucky sods), A levels (easyyy) and even finals (I don't know whether to laugh or cry)

Oh ya, and if you're wondering, those are stress balls shaped like boobs, I would love to see someone whack them out and start squeezing!

21st Birthday Weekend!

The birthday blues are upon me!
Last weekend it was my 21st, and it was truly the best birthday to date!
My family came up to see me in Manchester, which meant I got to wake up in a hotel on the day, had a leisurely morning and then went to town for a shopping spree with my mum. She bought me my birthday dress and a few other goodies (including those velvet shorts I was coveted a few posts ago!)
Then I went to meet my dad at the Hilton, where my little sisters and my cousin surprised me which was so nice!
Followed by more amazing gifts and a stunning meal at Australasia.
Below are a few pictures from the day!

This is the dress I wore before the meal, part of my stud obsessed collection!

My beautiful sisters and cousin, I cried when they popped out of the wardrobe!

My sister bought me this gorgeous vintage pendant from 1880, and she put these adorable photos inside!

We all shared this bottle with some strawberries!
I also got 2 more bottles of champagne as well as chocolates!

My friend baked me this cake!
It was amazing!

And then I was given this one by my housemates!
So much cake!

My Auntie gave me this Pink Vodka with gold flakes in this personalised bottle, so nice!

This is an awful photo but this is the dress I wore on my birthday night out.
It's one of the brands in Topshop, and I wore it with an urban outfitters belt.
My friends from home all came up for the weekend from around the country and gave me this lovely pandora charm.

I was well and truly spoilt!
But the best part I am going to save and write an entire post on because (although materialistic) its one of the most special things I have been given!

How to wear a Leather Jacket

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Its my last week at home before back to Uni so I'm quite busy packing!

When I was in Spain a couple of weeks ago, I bought a few goodies, and whilst in Zara, my mum bought me this gorgeous black leather biker jacket.
I absolutely love it!
I've been lusting after a leather jacket for ages, and to get one from Zara is even better!
And before you all think I'm a spoilt brat, its part of my 21st birthday present next month, so I'm a happy gal!

Black leather is everywhere on the catwalks for A/W '12, so I thought I'd do a Polyvore of different ways to wear the trend (below).

Of course there are loads! It practically goes with everything, but these are my faves.

How to Wear Black Leather

Here are looks for smart casual, a day out, and evening wear, all appropriate to add layers for the winter! I love the denim studded shorts and the mullet skirt personally.

I also bought these amazing studded suede flats (can you tell I'm obsessed with studs?). The compliments have been flooding in, and why wouldn't they be? good work zara.
