Best Dressed for Less No.9

The Court

I decided to kick off my 'back to blogging' saga with a new Best Dressed for Less, because not only have I not posted one in a while, but with all the excitement of fashion weeks happening, there are a host of juicy best dressed celebrities to choose from. I haven't focused specifically on one muse this time, as I noticed amongst basically EVERY celebrity that each were wearing court shoes. I have never seen this before, in all of my 8 best dressed for less..es, meaning this trend is a bigg'un, its huge, and it can be worn a million and one different ways. This is even greater news for all you tall folk out there like myself, as the court doesn't pack much platform, and has a relatively low heel, depending on which you pick, and can be placed with any outfit and bought on the cheap! Aces all round!
So I made two outfits, one casual, one dressy. One inspired by Olivia Palermo walking her pooch there, and the other is just something I liked. I love the pop of colour that these courts can bring, and the jumpsuit could be mixed with some bright pumps but I just loved the mesh on the black ones!

So if you're hitting any fashion events for this coming season (like me..post coming soon to explain) make sure you're strutting around in a pair of these, you literally have no excuse not to (unless you hate them, of course).

Ombre Amigo

Ombre Amigo

Ombre, gradient, dip dye, whatever you want to call it, its sweeping the streets for S/S 13 and I couldnt be more excited about this trend, except I already have an inkling its going to be overused and get a bit sickly sweet by the end of the season, but lets just enjoy it for a bit.
Getting really stuck into the 90's trend (a popular pastime for nineties kids was dying bedsheets cushions etc. for all you noughties out there), it started with nails, then went to hair (seriously considering it myself) and now (quite rightly) its all over the clothes.
We've seen it a bit this season, but the look just doesnt scream winter, which is why its really hitting hard now with the 'new in's.
The bright colours and endless combo's of styles and hues gives great potential for some fun DIY's of which I hope to get involved in Easter when I'm back home in my craft room. (Check out ASOS marketplace for some cool ones in the meantime.)
As well as this, the newest edition is tie dye, which is following suit with the gradient trend.
Here is some mood board inspo above, the shorts and flip flops are making me more excited for some summer sun!
This easy to wear, retro casual look is going to a big'n this summer, I can already picture the instagrammed festival looks featuring it!

Lusting after: Leggings

Floral, disco, galaxy, printed, you name it, leggings are everywhere this season and a veritable must-have this Autumn.
I am currently lusting after these styles (below) the most.
My favourite pair being the floral purple printed leggings from H&M for £9.99, worn by Lana Del Rey in their A/W '12 campaign. Currently sold out, not only on the net, but in store too, cry.
Leggings are just the easiest thing to sling on, I wear my wet-look Topshop ones practically everyday. They go with basically everything and your going to be on trend, which makes the daily confidence boost rocket!
I love to team them with an oversized jumper or a collared top and leather jacket, this even works in the evening for a casual night out.

Trend: Dungaree dresses

Has anyone else noticed this trend popping up everywhere?
Topshop, River Island and most boutiques have stocked them recently because of popular demand.
On one hand, I am liking this trend, its fun, and it reminds me of childhood. I'm sure the other 90's babies will understand!
On the other hand, I'm not too keen, they seem quite hard to pull off, quite a risky move.
But fashion waits for no man, or woman for that matter!
The last time dungaree dresses were out and about was 2006.
What are you thinking about them?

How to wear a Leather Jacket

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Its my last week at home before back to Uni so I'm quite busy packing!

When I was in Spain a couple of weeks ago, I bought a few goodies, and whilst in Zara, my mum bought me this gorgeous black leather biker jacket.
I absolutely love it!
I've been lusting after a leather jacket for ages, and to get one from Zara is even better!
And before you all think I'm a spoilt brat, its part of my 21st birthday present next month, so I'm a happy gal!

Black leather is everywhere on the catwalks for A/W '12, so I thought I'd do a Polyvore of different ways to wear the trend (below).

Of course there are loads! It practically goes with everything, but these are my faves.

How to Wear Black Leather

Here are looks for smart casual, a day out, and evening wear, all appropriate to add layers for the winter! I love the denim studded shorts and the mullet skirt personally.

I also bought these amazing studded suede flats (can you tell I'm obsessed with studs?). The compliments have been flooding in, and why wouldn't they be? good work zara.

ISWAI favourites

Recent tweets about new designs for this brand, It Starts With An Idea, got me intrigued and then inspired to do a post about it.
For those who don't know, this is Caggie Dunlops' clothing label. Known for her role in Made in Chelsea, as well as her flawless edgy style, its no wonder her brand reflects her look.
The concept behind the brand is expressing your own style and being who you are.
Young talent will be showcased in the products which reflect the brand. Combining inspiration and innovation to create a beautiful collection.
Thats what makes this company so different to other fashion brands, and why I love it!
Casual tee's with interesting, artisitc guest designers prints and  jewellery with a unique touch are the main focus of the products.
Below are a few of my favourites from the label.

This is a very new company and I can't wait to see more from them!
