My New Mulberry Del Rey

Yes, here she is! Anyone who knows me, knows that this is the most ultimate gift anyone could buy me.
Reflecting on the last post, my Dad left the greatest present till last, and I'm not ashamed to say I cried!
Now, I'm not someone who gets given bags worth £800 everyday, so I'm going to bore you all with pictures of every little detail of this gorgeous leather specimen!

A few weeks ago, my sister discreetly asked me which mulberry bag was my favourite, and which colour I liked best. Naturally I replied, the Del Rey in Oxblood (they call is Black Forrest). Its amazing they managed to get the right one really!

I spent a good 15 minutes inspecting her, even the bag!

I have only taken her out of the house (or even bag for that matter) twice so far. If anyone comes near it  I immediately whip her away from them, which means I end up doing a crazy dance in crowded areas. But hopefully I'll get a snap of me out with her soon!
She also came with lots of other little mulberry goodies including this little mulberry monster, some stickers, and a card thanking me for the purchase!

Anyone who said luxury wear is all about the experience is (in my opinion) wrong, if you love the brand, you'll love the products enough to appreciate them without going into the store, although I understand the satisfaction one must feel!

I know its sad getting excited about everything to do with this, but like I said I love mulberry! Even if it is going slightly down the toilet in the business world...
I have never been more grateful for anything to feed my materialistic, high maintenance, fashion crazy mind!
This bag will never go out of style in my eyes.

Trip to Trafford Bargains

Today we went to the Trafford centre for the first time since being back at Uni. I didn't go with the intention of buying anything, I purely love the experience, but when in Rome.
We had a quick blast around the new Forever 21 store, and although unimpressed with the clothes, I found this layered aztec print triangle necklace for just £4.90.
I love it, a great ensemble to any upcoming outfit.

I also took advantage of my 20% voucher in River island, courtesy of Company Magazine, when I bought this dark red scarf print Bodycon dress, £20 (£25 originally).
I love it, the print and cut out design makes it really flattering and I love the colours. Can't wait to wear it out! It's going to be a popular item this season.

Nail It

If any of you have seen my Instagram, you might have guessed, I'm pretty obsessed with my nails at the moment. Boredom and any excuse for a creative outburst means I try and do them as much as poss.
Despite my lack of funds (just paid for a week holiday in turkey- ouch) I have also recently purchased a 24 piece nail design set from eBay, so expect many more designs to come!
Here a few of my latest.

Everyone thought this colour splash design was stick on, but no! It's so easy to do as well, just dot randomly around your nails with different colours, filling in the gaps, until you have a fully covered colourful nail!

This one was also real easy to do, start out with a base coat, I went with white, and sweep the brush diagonally across the nail to get this effect. I broke it up by using a crackle effect on one nail which really adds to the whole design.

I did these simple metallic tips with a normal gold varnish to spice up the traditional manicure.

And finally, I did this for the Motel Rocks Nail competition in association with Nail rocks. The theme was summer so I went with leopard print, a palm tree, daisies and tribal, using pastel base coats and decorating with different colours and the liquid eyeliner trick. I also wrote Motel Rocks just to butter them up a bit, the prize is clothes and nail wraps and it ends tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Trending: Hand Chains

With jewellery becoming more weird and wonderful (nail rings didn't really take off) it seems that this summer, the hand chain is going to be a big hit (especially if Caggie Dunlop is wearing one).
With Eastern influences in their design they add instant uniqueness to any summery outfit. Basically every high street store has one or two to choose from and I have been pondering on which one to buy for a while. As much as I love to dress up my hands a bit, I'm thinking that £15 could be better spent on something more useful, but it seems that is the going price for these trinkets.

However as my daily browse through the e-tailers commenced, I came across the Dorothy Perkins sale where I found a lovely little hand chain, not too OTT, for a fiver.
Ba-da-bing, that was my choice sorted!
Below are a few other favourites from this seasons high street stores.
