Celliana Wishlist

Celliana are a website based costume and statement piece jewellery company.
Each design is well though out, original and edgy with a hint of seasonal trend and guaranteed to set off any outfit.
They have been featured in a stack of mags (how I got to know them) and are climbing the fash ladder quickly.
These are my favourite pieces from the collection, and after having a sneaky peak at the sale I may have to treat myself!
The necklaces are my absolute favourites, I would wear any of them with an oversized jumper, some skinnies and a top knot (and some shoes, obvs. Unless I was feeling particularly hobbit-like that day).
Applying one would boost the style scale up a good few notches to a seemingly simple outfit.

They also have fab comps on their social media pages, so get liking and tweeting ladies!

NYE Outfit

Hi Guys,
I just bought this very sparkly skirt from Missguided and thought it would be great for New Year's Eve. Might be a bit early to start thinking about it, but I'm sure you all are!
Sparkles are always big around the holidays, something to do with festivities and parties I think.
I put together a little outfit of what would I think would look great with this ensemble and here it is...

NYE Outfit

I never ever wear heels, not that I dont want to, just being 6 foot tall is a bit of a hinderance!
I loveee these peep toe ankle boots, they make it look a bit more wintery than just plain black heels.
The long sleeved crop top is very 90's (which is very now) and covers up some skin, classiness and warmth preserved, as well as complimenting the peplum with a bit of midriff, but not too much!
Some contrast nails would set off the colours a bit more, a chose this shimmery red because its a darker colour and the shimmer matches the skirts texture.
I'm also loving nude lipstick at the moment. I bought some from Boots today, got home and had left it in the shop! so sad.
Smokey eyes would look great with the colours and perfect if you're going out.
Light jewellery would top it off, but not too much as the skirt is already the statement piece.
Finally a bit of bubbly and you're set for the New Year!
This would also make a great Christmas party outfit.
I was going to save it for NYE but I know I'll be tempted to wear it next week for the end of term!
Hope you like it!

Gradient Nails

I've been wanting to do gradient nails for ages but they look so hard! I found an easy way to do it, maybe not the best looking effect, but I intend to try other techniques soon!
There are 2 ways to do gradient nails - one with a sponge and one without.
I did this effect without a sponge.
I didn't take photos whilst I was doing this, but I used Youtube tutorials, so I've put a few below!
I had just bought No.17 silver, so I used that with No.7 glittery black over the top to create a galaxy themed look.
I put a crackle top coat by Barry M on both ring fingers to break it up a bit.

This is the opposite way to do it, looks much more effective!

Hope you like them and give them a try!

Trending: Hand Chains

With jewellery becoming more weird and wonderful (nail rings didn't really take off) it seems that this summer, the hand chain is going to be a big hit (especially if Caggie Dunlop is wearing one).
With Eastern influences in their design they add instant uniqueness to any summery outfit. Basically every high street store has one or two to choose from and I have been pondering on which one to buy for a while. As much as I love to dress up my hands a bit, I'm thinking that £15 could be better spent on something more useful, but it seems that is the going price for these trinkets.

However as my daily browse through the e-tailers commenced, I came across the Dorothy Perkins sale where I found a lovely little hand chain, not too OTT, for a fiver.
Ba-da-bing, that was my choice sorted!
Below are a few other favourites from this seasons high street stores.

Nails that Sparkle

The other day I was browsing through the make-up section in Boots and I can never resist picking up some nail polish. This time the choice was Models Own Juicy Jules in silver, I tried it as soon as I got home (below) over a coat of Pink Grapefruit 17 lasting finish, and I was really happy with the results!
After a few days they are all still in tact which is a bonus considering I'm really hard on my nails!
I love the sparkly effect and it adds a bit of something extra to your favourite colour, and at £5 a bottle it's definitely worth it!
