BINTM Insta-Model Competition!

As we all know, Britain and Ireland Next Top Model starts back up again very soon with season 9, and to celebrate this, Sky Living have made an insta-model competition in which 3 challenges will be set, you enter any or all and see if you win! This can be done on Instagram or Twitter and the winner of one challenge will win a Tresemme goodie bag, howeverrrr if you are the overall winner, decided by the public, you and a friend will be pampered in a weekend stay in London!

The first challenge is POUT, a chance for all the duck face selfies to be in full whack.
This challenge is Dannii's and lasts from today at 12pm until next Monday June 3rd, all you have to do is hash tag #BINTM and #pout in your picture, so get pouting girls!

This is taken from the Sky Living website:

"Entrants will be judged on the extent to which photos they have submitted demonstrate they have responded to the challenge with enthusiasm, creativity and imagination. The image should feel fun, playful and have good composition. "

I found this quite interesting, it kind of adds to the challenge!

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely going to give it a go! May even post my entry on here, but don't hold your breath!

I can't wait to see the first entries and if you want to take a look at the comp, here is the link:

In the mean time, here are some famous pouts to get you all inspired, good luck girls (and guys!)

Nail It

If any of you have seen my Instagram, you might have guessed, I'm pretty obsessed with my nails at the moment. Boredom and any excuse for a creative outburst means I try and do them as much as poss.
Despite my lack of funds (just paid for a week holiday in turkey- ouch) I have also recently purchased a 24 piece nail design set from eBay, so expect many more designs to come!
Here a few of my latest.

Everyone thought this colour splash design was stick on, but no! It's so easy to do as well, just dot randomly around your nails with different colours, filling in the gaps, until you have a fully covered colourful nail!

This one was also real easy to do, start out with a base coat, I went with white, and sweep the brush diagonally across the nail to get this effect. I broke it up by using a crackle effect on one nail which really adds to the whole design.

I did these simple metallic tips with a normal gold varnish to spice up the traditional manicure.

And finally, I did this for the Motel Rocks Nail competition in association with Nail rocks. The theme was summer so I went with leopard print, a palm tree, daisies and tribal, using pastel base coats and decorating with different colours and the liquid eyeliner trick. I also wrote Motel Rocks just to butter them up a bit, the prize is clothes and nail wraps and it ends tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Like their Facebook Page for more competitions and offers like this.

Love for Mulberry

Last night me and my fellow fashiony friend, Kirby, attended the Mulberry event at Spinningfields, Manchester, after entering a competition through Grazia Magazine, to celebrate the launch of the new Spring/Summer collection, and I must say it was a celebration indeed!
Pink champagne with floating raspberries was handed to us on entry, and already the scene was a bustling mixture of luscious bags, stunning waiters in candy aprons and many many safari balloons. There was a 'day at the seaside' theme to tie in with the collections inspiration, which included a grab machine with jewellery goodies and cute mulberry teddies, which Kirby managed to nab (one of a select few with the right grabbing technique!). A flipper book booth was also causing much excitement, which gave guests a chance to dance around with inflatable animals and the 'Oooh' mulberry glasses for 7 seconds, the frames then get printed off and made into a flip book! One of the many free goodies we walked away with as well as our very own balloon, (above, can't see my face but I'm happy!) canvas bag filled with mulberry postcards, a stick of mulberry rock, the latest issue of Grazia, £50 voucher, look book of the new collections and assorted make up gifts!
Unfortunately one of the free goodies we didn't walk away with was the mulberry tan satchel (£1,100) from the tom-bola prize draw, it was free to enter and one lucky girl got to take it away! A combination of this as well as Mini fish and chips, hotdogs, and ice cream tubs as the choice of food really topped the night off! I can safely say I will definitely be entering another Grazia comp for a guest list event, thank you Mulberry! x
