IOTW #4

Here are my Instagrams of the Week. Bit of a mixture for this one! 

Firstly, my mum bought some wacky flowers which are beaut so I took a snap. 

When it was sunny a while back I went to my bathe in my friends garden. 

I made the third picture a bit bigger so you could actually see it. I started using the 'No Crop' app which gets the whole picture onto Instagram which is handy, and used it for this coastal picture when I went for a cliff path walk. 

When I was at the Country Show last weekend helping my mum sell her lovely Bunting, they had an animal farm next door and this little bubba cow was inside, too cute!

I love a 'look I'm in the garden getting a tan' picture.

The selfie was for the BINTM 'selfie' stage of their competition of which you can read my post about it here. I had actually just been doing a shoot on the beach and therefore was in a selfie mood. 

I have been doing lots of my Davina work outs recently being unemployed (starting work at Next this week, thank god!) and therefore spend my morning doing a few sit ups, and I'm loving the effects! 

My newest nail design, cartoon nails, a woman saw them and said they were 'fab'. 

And lastly, a club photo from last weekend, wearing my new Topshop animal print top. 

Smocks and Swings

Baggy dresses are creeping onto the New In pages of our e-comm faves, and I'm loving this style. Great for festivals and beachy days, super casual and very Ivy from 90210-esque. I've been eyeing one up from Missguided but it sold out in an instant, so I've been trawling around and found these, with a bit of outfit inspo to match. 

There is the usual oversized smock which has been popular in the past, but a new style called 'swing' is emerging, or am I just behind the times, again. They are like smock, the same loosey gooseness only with a cami top to really ooze summer.  I also love the endless accessories that can be worn, there is never too much or too little, and all very Boho. 

An easy way to achieve this look, buy a similar dress 3 sizes too big, slap on some turquoise, ruffle your hair, stick flowers in it, and plonk on some sandals.

My Great Great family

My Grandpa passed away in September 2011. 

Not the best way to start a post.

But a few weeks ago, his old desk was delivered to our house.

In it, wedged at the back, was this picture.

Dated approximately 1890, it shows my Great Grandpa and Great Grandma on their wedding day, surrounded by their families, including my Great Great Grandpa. 

Not only is it strange to see my ancestors all lined up, but I found the clothes fascinating.

It's not everyday you find a picture like this from your relatives past. I've only ever seen this type of photograph with this fashion in books or magazines.

The bonnets, the bustles, the flowers, the ruffles, quite well dressed aren't they?

Nails Nails Nails

Hey guys!

So I'm back from my little holiday weekend, and because it was a camping holiday and it rained a lot, and I have 3 sisters, I was doing loads of nails. So to bore you further, here are some of the designs I did whilst there.

I promise to do a non related nail post very soon!

But I'm suffering from holiday blues at the moment, and I'm very very lazy.

For instance, I've watched about 12 Jenna Marbles videos in the last 10 hours and not much else. 

But, I did buy a french grazia (which is already 'so yesterday' because its weekly) andddd I've started on my DIY bunting, so stay tuned! 

First off, my favourite patterns of the weekend (above) I did my sisters nails in a pink and white theme, You can probably guess I used my new nails art pens to do hearts and bows and a ribbon, and dots and flowers and stripes, really cute, and would definitely do this again.

My sisters are going to Turkey next week, so I did holiday themed nails,(below) with a mini cocktail, palm tree, star fish, eye and sun.

Then I did my older sisters, who loves kate spade, so these simple blue and white dotty nails looked so nice!

Then I did mine, little daisies on a blue background.

And mine again, did yesterday, sort of geometric shapes with a pink background. 

I also ordered 500 fake plain acrylic nails as soon as I got home for £2.60 on ebay, which I'm going to do designs on and then hopefully start selling them! 

May as well make a bit of money out of my favourite little hobby!

I've made enough posts now to start to get into a routine when I feel a blog coming on. 

So I'm dedicating a post to my idea of the perfect conditions for a blogger to really get their creative juices flowing.
