Nails Nails Nails

Hey guys!

So I'm back from my little holiday weekend, and because it was a camping holiday and it rained a lot, and I have 3 sisters, I was doing loads of nails. So to bore you further, here are some of the designs I did whilst there.

I promise to do a non related nail post very soon!

But I'm suffering from holiday blues at the moment, and I'm very very lazy.

For instance, I've watched about 12 Jenna Marbles videos in the last 10 hours and not much else.

But, I did buy a french grazia (which is already 'so yesterday' because its weekly) andddd I've started on my DIY bunting, so stay tuned!

First off, my favourite patterns of the weekend (above) I did my sisters nails in a pink and white theme, You can probably guess I used my new nails art pens to do hearts and bows and a ribbon, and dots and flowers and stripes, really cute, and would definitely do this again.

My sisters are going to Turkey next week, so I did holiday themed nails,(below) with a mini cocktail, palm tree, star fish, eye and sun.

Then I did my older sisters, who loves kate spade, so these simple blue and white dotty nails looked so nice!

Then I did mine, little daisies on a blue background.

And mine again, did yesterday, sort of geometric shapes with a pink background.

I also ordered 500 fake plain acrylic nails as soon as I got home for £2.60 on ebay, which I'm going to do designs on and then hopefully start selling them!

May as well make a bit of money out of my favourite little hobby!

Pins of the Week

Here are a few of my favourite pins of the week from various Pinterest members.
I love entering this website and seeing anything from art and architecture to cupcakes and rollerblades.
A taster of everything I love is below, I hope you get as inspired as I am!

Happy Pinning!

Mouth watering stack of Cupcakes.

I love the combination of colour, style and accessories on this strangers hand, the odd angle just makes it that much more pinteresting!

For those of you who know me, this little guy is fast becoming my number one must see animal.
Genuinely think I was one in a past life.

I have a few turquoise jewellery pieces and these have made me want more! They go with absolutely everything, especially matched with this seasons tribal trend.

Safari style outfit, I'm loving the bag!

This is so elegant, the vibrant colour is nice and summery, combined with the light skirt, Perfect.

This piece of art called flowers by Jo Chambers really caught my eye, simple lines and colours can be so effective.

I have a board called 'My Dream House' and although a lot of people want a swanky apartment over looking a white sand beach with a pool, the simplicity of this velvet chair and the neutral colours looked really relaxing, I wouldn't mind it in my home.

These skates are girly and adorable, I would have to skate along the avenue in these everyday.

A cropped picture taken from the film Up, at first glance I thought they were real.

This is photography genius. Coming from an island where a lot of surfing takes place, this is definitely an outstanding capture.

So there they are, my favourite weekly pins. I have liked all of these pictures on my account, so if you like any of them, follow me Rodders1810, to like them yourself.

Super Scrimping nails

Another nail post, but I couldn't help myself, this top tip is too good not to share. Whilst at a friends a few weeks back, an episode of 'Super Scrimpers' came on. Not a programme I usually care to watch, however, filled with money saving ideas, one in particular grabbed my attention, and the idea was so simple!

The hype of nail art has hit a high with everyone giving it the DIY treatment, but have you noticed how expensive those little bottles of varnish with the tiny nail art brushes are? You could always order them in bulk from eBay but why not just use something you probably have lying around? In this case, liquid eyeliner.

Most of them have small brushes, but I prefer my fine liner eyeliner from H&M, does the trick nicely! Simply put a coat of colour on, and depending on what style your doing (I have tried leopard print and tribal) put some dots or lines of a different colour and then draw a design over the top!

There are loads to have a gander at on the internet for some inspiration, and once you've got the hang of it, the effects are impressive! You can try it with different styles, colours and designs, the possibilities are endless!
To stop the eyeliner from smudging I put a coat of clear Top Coat on and this makes the design stay on for longer as well.

Some of you might already be doing this technique but those of you who didn't know, why didn't we think of it before? If you've got some eye liner lying around and feel like procrastinating, give a bit of nail art a whirl!

(My right hand required intense concentration, so if your not so good at one hand than the other maybe get a friend to finish it off for you!)

If you have given this tip a go, take a photo and send it to me, or just let me know! I would love to feature the best ones on here :)
