Things I Fancy

I was introduced to Fancy by a friend. I initially downloaded the app, and after trying out the website version, I personally prefer tapping away at it on my iPhone, however, each to their own.

Fancy is as quirky as Etsy but with similar functions to Pinterest.
You can look at what you think you would be interested in by choosing categories, then your free to fancy what you want!
Everything you fancy is then available on your own profile to share and even buy!
Above are a few awesome things I fancy'd which reflect my own personal style I guess!
So if you're always looking for new ways to procrastinate, like myself, I suggest you take a look, its free to download which is always a bonus.

New iPhone Cover

My friend told me about an iPhone cover on a local website which I should buy because it had a giraffe print, and I am basically a giraffe in human form (tall, tanned with weird freckles that look like giraffe spots on my hand).

So I contacted the seller to find out more!

The cover was only £5, and it came with a free earphone jack accessory in this really cute little box.

I met the girl the today and she told me I was the first she had done business with so it was pretty spesh!

And here it is, I love it, and I was really pleased with the service. So easy, especially because it was local and an absolute bargain!

If you want to check out more designs by this company click here, they ship to the UK too!

DIY IPhone Cover

I bought a pretty pink floral iPhone cover from ebay the other week, but when it arrived, it wasn't what I hoped and I put it to one side. Due to extreme boredom and need of a creative outlet, I attacked it with glitter and beads.
Simply rustle around in your craft box, find some beads, buttons, anything that matches the cover or go out and buy some, they are fairly cheap and get gluing!

You might have seen the really OTT covers on Etsy (examples below) but lets just say I was going for something like that, and this is the end result! Now I'm a firm believer in taking something worth keeping and making it beautiful, so I'm hoping (even though this isn't to my taste) someone will like it!

Images below, all taken from here.

I actually really like these ones. I was going to buy one but I have an old purple iPhone cover that I might just make myself!

Not in 'Canvas' anymore

On the search for a new bag (hence the 2nd bag post in a week) I came across the emerging 'IT-brand' Thursday Friday. The practical range of totes features 3 styles, (favourite-diamond, below) 3 sizes, a range of colours and a few extras, including some adorable fluffy iPhone cases and key rings. Run by Olena and Roni, they started out producing simple canvas tote bags with print-screens of luxury leathers and the range has grown from there. The pair have been described as an 'anti-status symbol' as well as 'witty' and 'controversial' for this supposedly uncourageous fashion statement as they describe the brand "we're inspired by consumerism, class, and iconography, but that doesn't mean we're putting out precious, abstract concepts." The collections are available to order from the website (subject to waiting list and the amount in $) or on ASOS, whichever way you do it, you'll be making a mark on your next food shop.
