Best Dressed for Less No.3

Alexa Chung Style

Alexa Chung is famous for her style, not initially, but she's in Vogue basically every month because of her look. She's so effortlessly cool, she looks as if she's grabbed anything in her wardrobe, thrown it together and it works!
This outfit is a classic example.
Casual jumper, smartened with the tweed skirt, and a touch of elegance with the sandals. The little bag just brings it altogether, love it!
I have recreated this outfit with high street pieces, once for those who can splash the cash, and another for us who have a budget.
A massive difference in price and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference!

Chanel Couture Favourites

Karl has done it again. Back to basics Chanel Couture featuring traditional tweed and designer beanies. A subtle mixture of a grey, cream, pink, black, palette with even some velvet, sparkly tights, woollen clutches and a couple of gorgeous gowns thrown in. Here are my favourite look from the show, setting the style for Auntum/Winter 2012/13.

Now, obviously I wish I could put a whole lot more up, the collection was beautiful, but I had to be cut throat here, my absolute favourite is the amazing white organza gown with a feathery, fluffy, overcoat with embellishment and risen feathered collar, it is stunning!

Zara before Chanel

Much of Zara's Spring/Summer Women's collection is coated in Chanel inspired tweed suit pieces, with their take on the classic style, in this seasons trending pastel tones.
Sophistication looms in every jacket, skirt and even dress, perfectly cut and tailored to that of Coco's standards.
I cannot describe how badly I wanted to buy any one of these garments but sadly the price range was just too high, but that didn't stop me from touching, trying on, and admiring in ore.
Zara has dealt a safe hand with this collection, this classic suit has never failed to impress with numerous comebacks on the Chanel catwalk, so why shouldn't the high street stores have a dabble in re-creating the style?
Topshop and Primark have produced their own versions of some suit pieces, but Zara have gone all out.
Below are a few favourites from the collection and some classic Chanel's from over the years.

ZARA

I loved the yellow dress personally, when I tried it on, I didn't want to take it off!
After seeing this collection and scrolling through the numerous past Chanel collections I hope to one day own a vintage Chanel tweed jacket. (21st birthday present? hint hint)
